He has been playing for the atoll and zone level matches for his home island.
His goal is to see M.Mulak come to Male’ and play a 1st division match here in Male’.
About talking about how he got his nickname, he said that he always supported the Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick and his friends gave him the name as his style was similar to Carrick’s and he is also a midfielder.
His idol in football is the former national team player Ibrahim Fazeel (Oppo).
He wishes to see a day when a good quality football pitch is established in M.Mulak so he and his fellow colleagues could practice. Discussions have already been made with the parliament members of M.Mulak.
He also said that there is no opportunity for the young generation to go forward in the career of football as the atoll cup is not being held now.
