Aboobakuru Sidheeq started playing football as a kid and learned how to play with the help of his family. When he was young, his older brother always takes Aboobakuru with him to play with the adults. In that way, he learned and started playing football.

Now the age of 21 Aboobakuru Sidheeq's biggest achievement is, he has achieved runner-up in Red Bull Winning 5 all over the Maldives in 2018. The young adult has not played many tournaments in his career. However, his biggest dream is to play in Club Maldives Cup one day.

The biggest challenge he ever faced while playing football is that there are not enough tournaments. He mentioned that there are very few tournaments in the Hdh. Hanimaadhoo and no tournaments are atoll level. He said that, if there were good tournaments, it would help to develop and create good potential players in this field. 

He believes that here in the Maldives, the level of futsal is better than football since there are many tournaments. In the Maldives, most people tend to spend more money on futsal than football.

His role model is one of the best futsal players in the Maldives, Ali Hafiz (Haappe). Aboobakuru Sidheeq mentioned that the best player in Hdh. Hanimaadhoo is Aafix Saleem, who is always his teammate in every tournament. These two players have one of the best futsal combinations in Hdh. Hanimaadhoo.
