The council of Ga. Nilandhoo is conducting a volleyball tournament for both genders in the upcoming Eid al-Adha and the Independence Day of the Maldives. This tournament will start on 25th July in Ga. Nilandhoo volleyball court and the council have opened the registration to participate.     

The aim of this tournament is to create good, talented volleyball players in Nilandhoo. The council has mentioned that their good potential players in Nilandhoo and these tournaments will allow them to develop their talents.

There is no age group for this tournament and if a school student is participating, the player has to submit the permit to play from their parent and school. However, only the citizens of Ga. Nilandhoo can participate in this tournament.

The council has said, they are expecting at least 4 teams in the male division and 5 teams in the female division. The champion team will receive the champion trophy in both divisions and since this Eid and Independence Day sports event, the council has not included any price in these tournaments.

The biggest difficulty for conducting these tournaments is, there are not enough volunteers to organize these tournaments. The council has said there is not enough support to conduct such tournaments.

The main target of this tournament is to motivate the young talented volleyball players and to create a bright future in volleyball in Nilandhoo.
