The president recognizes that this invitation is an excellent opportunity, and that the Maldives is on his list of countries that has the potential to be developed. He also wants to see the Maldives develop a strong beach volleyball squad. Furthermore, he has claimed that he wishes to use FIVB to organize large projects in the Maldives, and that he is confident that the government's and youth ministry's help will be forthcoming. According to FIVB's president, promising beach volleyball teams will undoubtedly emerge in 3 to 4 years if the volleyball association, Olympic committee, and FIVB work together.
Ary Graça, the former Brazilian volleyball player, took over as president of the FIVB in 2012. Given the difficulties he has experienced, he is pleased with how far he has progressed over time. This includes the work done with the assistance of 30 other countries, to develop volleyball in 132 countries. The current aim is to provide the well-deserved opportunities to all the countries in FIVB. Furthermore, Graça noted that the future of volleyball is dependent on social media, television, and the internet, and that he will be overseeing the project's work and success.
