Naba Nishan at the age of 11 has won trophies in 3 divisions of the 51st international tennis tournament. Naba won all three categories in which she competed: junior singles female, open doubles female, and open singles female. She has become the first ever to lift these three trophies at that age.
Naba is currently studying in grade 7 in Majeedhiyya School. Even though she didn’t have any desire to play at a serious level, she began training under the guidance of her coach, Akram, at the age of 7. She did, however, play in a tournament not long after she began her training and earned a prize in the tournament. She's been participating in all the tournaments she's had the chance to join since then, and she's become better each time. Which includes a tournament held in Sri Lanka.
Naba quickly recognized her accomplishments and potential. As a result, she began competing at a higher level than before starting in 2019. She competed in the Maldivian open championship, as well as having the opportunity to defend her title. Her strong performances in this event are due to her maintaining her discipline and training diligently over the covid break.
She worked with her fitness instructor, Zaan, and Naai, to take care of her health and fitness during the difficult periods caused by covid. Trainings were held at dawn, and she balanced her studies along with them. Training is carried out six days a week with coach, Faaee.
