National Badminton Champion Nabaaha has mentioned that she finds it difficult when she has to play against her twin sister Nabeeha.
Nabaaha won the National Badminton Championship Singles after beating Nabeeha. She won the Doubles category along with her sister and won the Mixed Doubles category with Zayan Zaki as her partner. This is the second time that she has won three titles in a row. And from all these, she says that the Singles is the most special title for her.
Nabaaha: "I had confidence in the Doubles and Mixed Doubles since long before. I knew that the Singles would be the most challenging. I find it difficult to play against my sister. It took 43 minutes to finish 3 sets."
In the National Final of 2017, they both faced off against each other and Nabeeha came on top that time. Nabaaha mentioned that there will be a rivalry between the two on the Singles. But that is a competitive rivalry without any bad intentions.
Nabaaha: "There is a rivalry between us both. But at the end of the day, no matter who wins, the trophy will come back home. So I will be happy even if she wins. But sometimes it is challenging to compete against my sister"
Nabaaha and Nabeeha are currently in Bahrain to represent Maldives in the Bahrain International Badminton Series that will go on from today up to Saturday.
