Club Maldives Cup: STO, MTCC, MPL & DSC have all advanced to the second round

MTCC, STO, MPL, Dhivehi Sifainge Club, and Prison Club have confirmed a spot in the second stage of the Club Maldives Cup after winning yesterday’s matches.

 

Yesterday evening, Prison Club had defeated Rajje Online (ROL) 4-0. MTCC won against MMA Social Club by 3-1. STO defeated Maldives Gas 3-1 and Dhivehi Sifainge Club defeated Civil Court by 4-0. Lastly, MPL had defeated Club 220 (PG Office) by 6-2.

 

The clubs that have confirmed a place in the second stage right now are MTCC, STO, MPL, Dhivehi Sifainge Club, MPL, Prison Club, Club HDC, RDC, Dhiraagu, FSM, and FENAKA. The last 6 spots will be decided after today’s matches.

 

In yesterday evening’s match, Prison Club’s goals against ROL were scored by Murthajaa Mohamed, Hassan Waheedh Ahmed, Hussain Nabeeh, and the man-of-the-match Saajidh Rasheed.

 

In this group’s other match, FENAKA had drawn 2-2 against Aviation Security (AVSEC). AVSEC had taken the lead in this match after Ismail Siaadh and Mohamed Rilwan’s goals FENAKA equalized after Ahmed Haleem (Ammadey) and Ayaaz Ahmed (Aya)’s goals. The man-of-the-match was AVSEC’s Siaadh.

 

FENAKA finished at the top of Group F with 7 points. Second place Prison Club had earned 6 points. Third place ROL has 3 points while fourth place AVSEC only has 1 point.

 

MPL’s goals against Club 220 were scored by Mohamed Yafaau (Yaa), Ahmed Nizam (Nizambe), Naaih Mufeedh, Ibrahim Sanoon, Sinaan Ibrahim Rasheed, and Hassan Nimal. Club 220’s goals were scored by Ahmed Saamih and Abdul Waheed Ibrahim (Vaadu).

 

In this group’s other match, Dhivehi Sifainge Club (DSC) had easily defeated Civil Court. DSC’s goals were scored by Faarish Ahmed, Ahmed Shaihaan Jaleel, Mohamed Alaau, and Ibrahim Thoif.

 

Group G’s winner is MPL with 9 points in 3 games. Second place DSC earned 7 points. Third place Club 220 has 3 points while last place Civil Court is out of the tournament with 0 points.

 

STO also guaranteed a spot in the second stage after winning all their games. STO’s goals last night against Maldives Gas were scored by Inaan Mohamed, Mohamed Shaah, and Ismail Wajeeh (Wajje). Maldives Gas’ only goal was scored by their captain Ahmed Rasheed (Ammadey).

 

In this group’s other match, MTCC’s goals against MMA were scored by Hussain Ali (Achey), Ahmed Muaaz, and Mohamed Samooh Anwar. MMA’s only goal was scored by Ibrahim Saif.

 

STO is at the top of the group. with 9 points in 3 games. MTCC won 2 matches and is in second place with 6 points. Maldives Gas is in third place with 3 points while fourth place MMA was unable to secure a point.

 

In today’s evening’s matches, Police Club will face off against Hulhumale Hospital, Allied will play against Trade Club. In tonight’s first two matches, Ooredoo will play against MACL and Customs will play against Medianet. The next matches of the night will be Group C matches. WAMCO will play against City Council and STELCO will play against Youth Ministry.
