After last night’s matches in the 18/30 Futsal Fiesta, the group stage matches of the tournament are over. In the semis, Dhivehi Sifainge Club (DSC) will play against Club WAMCO while Police Club will have to play against former champions MPL.

In last night’s Group A match, Police Club won against Trade Club by 5-0. In Group B’s match, MPL won against WAMCO by 5-1.

DSC finished the group stage at the top of Group A with 12 points from 4 matches. Second place Police Club had gotten 6 points. Last place Trade Club finished the tournament without earning a point. Group B’s topper MPL got 10 points in 4 matches. Second place WAMCO got 5 points. Fenaka who is out of the tournament was only able to get 1 point.

In the semis, Group A’s first place will play against Group B’s second place. Group B’s first place will play against Group A’s second place. The semis will be played on the 13th of this month.

In the match between MPL and WAMCO last night, MPL’s National Volley Team player Fathmath Joozan Zareer opened the scoring by scoring against WAMCO. The second goal was scored by Aminath Shaamila. MPL’s other goals were scored by Madina, Shaamila, and the queen-of-the-match Fathmath Shaaliya. Wamco’s only goal was scored by Aminath Areesha.

In the other match, Police Club’s goals against Trade Club were scored by Lebanon’s Nancy Chalian and Fathmath Theeba's 2 goals each and Lebanon’s Celine Al Haddad.
