Hussain Fayaz has been crowned champion of the first division male category in the first-ever Litus National Billiard Championship, while the women's category was won by Dheena Ahmed.

The tournament took place in the National Billiard Center where the single's event finals were played last night while the semifinals took place earlier that afternoon.

Hussain Fayaz played against Hassan Shaaz who is currently ranked number one on MPB rankings. the match ended by a 9-6 frame where Fayaz secured his spot in the finals whilst Mohamed Shahil Hameed guaranteed his place in the final in the first division matchups.

Fayaz won by a 7-11 frame becoming the champion of the tournament. The match was a thriller as Shahil was at a comfortable lead early in the match by a 6-2 frame. However, Fayaz powered through and emerged victorious with a stunning comeback. Third place was won by Hassan Shaaz.

The final in the female category was played by Aminath Azra and Dheena Ahmed where Dheena won by a 7-4 frame. The Second runner-up was Mariyam Hudhuna.

Ali Shaavin and Abbas Saeed competed in the Male's second division final where Abbas beat Shaavin by a 7-11 frame. The third place was won by Ibrahim Rasheed.
