Sri Lanka’s martial arts academy, Fight Soul is opening a gym in Maldives specialized for people who want to learn Mixed Martial Arts (MMA).
This gym that was opened last night will help martial arts fighters to participate in Maldivian, Sri Lankan, and other international tournaments. They will be given proper training and be given opportunities to participate in various tournaments.
A total of 4 institutes have signed an agreement to teach martial arts to Maldivian fighters. On behalf of the Maldivian Academy, the owner Abdullah Firushan signed the agreement last night during the ceremony held at Fight Soul Maldives Academy last night. Sri Lanka Fight Soul Academy’s CEO Rosharn Amarasinghe had signed on behalf of their academy.
Fight Soul Maldives’ owner Abdullah Firuvan mentioned that Fight Soul Sri Lanka is the first Sri Lankan martial arts Academy that opened one of their franchise’s branches in a foreign country and that Fight Soul Maldives is one of their branches.
He also mentioned that there will be a lot of teaching sessions and training held by the Fight Soul for Maldivian martial arts fighters. Fight Soul Academy is organized by the Sri Lankan MMA champions. This academy has made a partnership with former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC)’s member Will Chope.
Will Chope is the most active MMA fighter in the Asian region. Receiving his support is a huge boost for Maldivian martial arts.
Fight Soul Maldives’ biggest objective is to bring a good name for Maldives internationally through MMA. They also want MMA to be a well-known and accepted sport within Maldives.
