“Badhahi Hirafus Cup 2021” football tournament hosted by Kulhudhuffushi Hirafus Team has commenced yesterday at Kulhudhuffushi.

This tournament is played under the vision “Heevaagi Masverinnaa eku Hirafus”. This tournament was previously planned to start on Friday. However, due to bad weather, the tournament had to be postponed to Saturday. A total of 6 teams have participated in this tournament. The teams are Barracuda, Blue Merlins, Violet, Red Snappers, Speedy Juice, and Family Bakery.

The opening match of the tournament was played between Barracuda and Blue Merlins. This match was won 2-1 by Barracuda. This match’s man-of-the-match was Barracuda’s Hussain Mohamed (Poly).

Tournament hosts Hirafus Team had mentioned that the purpose of this tournament is to create unity and friendship between the youngsters and encourage players to go and play in Hirafus Ground in the evening.

Furthermore, giving opportunities for everyone that plays in Hirafus Grounds to participate in a tournament and encouraging youngsters to participate in such tournaments are also some aims of the tournament.

There will be a match played today as well. Speedy Juice will play against Family Bakery in this match.
