Hussain Fayaz and Ali Shavin are the champions of the Litus National Billiard Championship Doubles Event.

Fayaz and Shavin faced against Ahsan Haashim and Abbas Saeed’s pair yesterday evening in the final. Fayaz and Shavin won the match by a 9-7 frame.

With this win, Fayaz has become the first player to win 2 medals in the Top Men’s Division of the first-ever National Billiard Championship. He had defeated Mohamed Saahil in the Singles final and become the champion of that category as well.

Fayaz’s partner Shavin had played in the final of the Men’s Singles Second Division and lost against Abbas Saeed.

Fayaz and Shavin’s pair went to the final after defeating Singles runner-up Saahil and Ahmed Nafeel’s pair by a 7-3 frame.

The only event left in the National Billiard Championship now is the Team Event. This event is getting a lot of support from the public. Several supporters visit the Indoor Badminton Hall in the Galolhu Youth Center to watch the matches.
