Club WAMCO and former champions MPL have advanced to the final of the Club Maldives Cup Women’s Division 18/30 Futsal Fiesta.

Club WAMCO moved to the final after coming from the back to defeat Dhivehi Sifainge Club (DSC) 7-5 in last night’s semifinal.

MPL who are the last 2 Club Maldives Women’s Division champions went to the final after defeating Police Club by 3-0 last night.

The final match of the 18/30 Futsal Fiesta will be played on the coming Friday. WAMCO traveled to the final after scoring last-minute goals. DSC’s Matsushima Sumaya had taken the lead for them in the first 5 minutes of the match. But just after a minute from this goal, WAMCO’s Thailand player Kasayi had equalized for them.

After this Sumaya had scored another goal for DSC gained back the lead followed by 2 more goals from DSC. WAMCO’s substitute Noora and Kasayi had scored 2 more goals for WAMCO after this. Through the hard work of DSC, Rifa had completed her hattrick. But DSC lost the match in the last few minutes after WAMCO upped their game and came from the back to defeat them while they were 2 goals down.

In the match between MPL and Police Club, MPL’s first goal was scored by their Tajikistan player Fazilova. The other 2 goals were scored in the last 6 minutes by Saliya and Joozan.

The semifinal matches of the Club Maldives Cup Men’s Division will be played tonight at Rehendhi Futsal Stadium. The first match will be played between FSM and Prison Club and the second match will be played between FENAKA and RRC.
