Minister of Youth, Sports & Empowerment, Ahmed Mahloof has said that the changes that have been brought to the Maldives sport’s industry is still small and better changes are yet to come. He made this statement in a tweet by sharing a video of modern new pool billiard hall.
The Minister thanked the Maldives Pool Billiard Association (MPBA) for their hard effort in developing this new modern pool billiard hall, which will be open to the public soon.
The new modern pool billiard facility in Male’ is designed in a way that international tournaments can be performed there. Maldives pool billiard players have struggled a lot without these changes made in the past and this is a great opportunity for them to develop their skills. There is also a developed billiard facility in Hulhumale’.
Minister Mahloof said that the Maldives sports industry has yet to experience the revolutionary changes planned out by the current administration.
The Government has spent a lot on developing sport’s industry and there are big upcoming plans for the future of Male’ area and especially for atolls.
The President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih also mentioned that the equipment’s in Maldives is not enough for players and athletes and his priority is to provide proper equipment’s for the development of players and athletes.
