Kurendhoo FC has won both their matches in the FAM Women’s Invitation Cup held in Naifaru and moved to the top of the table.

Other than Kurendhoo, the teams who participated in this tournament are Apex Sports Club, Dotcom Sports Club, Ideal Movement, and Bazooka Sports Club. There were a total of 4 matches played in the tournament so far. 

Kurendhoo is on the top of the league with 6 points in 2 matches. Second place Dotcom has earned 3 points in 2 matches. Third place Apex has earned 3 points in 1 match and fourth place Ideal Movement and last place Bazooka have not earned a point yet.

Kurendhoo won yesterday’s match against Bazooka by 3-1. Kurendhoo’s Mariyam Shuaau had scored 2 goals for them. The other goal was scored by Mariyam Soba. Bazooka’s only goal was scored by Shafiath Moosa.

FAM has decided to hold Invitation tournaments in L atoll, Hdh. Kulhudhuffushi, and Fuvahmulah as well. And there will be a tournament in Male’ between eight teams in the First Division. It has been decided that the winners of these 5 competitions will play a final round in Male’ and the Maldives Women’s Champion will be decided.
