An announcement has been made opening the chance to develop the B. Goidhoo’s Skatepark which has been untouched since the foundation was built back in 2018.
In an announcement published on the 9th of this month by the Youth Ministry, they have mentioned that the chance to develop this skatepark is open to anyone interested.
Under this project, a 2500 square feet skatepark will be built in Goidhoo.
The due date to apply for this work is 19th January 2022 at 11:30 a.m.
Skating was generalized by youngsters in Goidhoo around 6 years ago.
When they first saw some children outside with skateboards, the people and schools of the island took notice of this and tried to improve the skateboarding skills of the kids on the island by giving sessions.
The youngsters in Goidhoo who used to skate near the fish market of the island were noticed by the Olympic Committee as well. And in 2018, the Olympic Committee had built the foundation of a skate park in Goidhoo under the name ‘Olympic Skate Park’.
Goidhoo is an island well-known for trying to help children build a career in any sector that the children are interested in.
