A New Football Field has been Established on the Fari Islands

12 January 2022

Fari Islands is celebrating the launch of the new football pitch on Fari Campus, the archipelago's employee-only island. On each side of the 6,310 SqM Regalawn P60-318 turf, 11 players can play. Mohamed Ziyau, Senior Duty Engineer of The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands, led the charge on this project.

Employees, guests from the archipelago's three luxury resorts, and residents from neighboring islands will compete in friendly matches on the new football field. Football clinics and camps will also be run by world-class players.

On the inauguration of this important facility, Evan Kwee, Head of Design and Hospitality at the Pontiac Land Group, commented, “Fari Islands seeks to provide the next generation of travellers with an elevated Maldivian experience. The football field presents new opportunities for creating wonderful memories through social connection.”

Kwee added that “Our employees are the Champions of Fari Islands and our most precious resource. We believe in work-life balance and are proud to offer them with a living environment centred around engagement, growth and a sense of community”.

The property is located on the Fari Islands in the Maldives' North Malé Atoll, about a 45-minute speedboat ride or a 10-minute seaplane ride from Malé International Airport. White sand beaches, turquoise lagoons, and coral reefs brimming with marine life can all be found at the resort. The Ritz-Carlton Maldives' guest villas are influenced by the Maldivian sun and border the Indian Ocean.

The Ritz-Carlton Fari Island is expected to have rooms ranging from one to three bedrooms and will feature the sophisticated elegance and iconic service that has become synonymous with the Ritz-Carlton brand. In addition to a full suite of fitness and recreational facilities, including a signature Ritz-Carlton Spa, the property is expected to offer a variety of exceptional culinary venues serving a range of international and local cuisines. The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands is located on the archipelago of Fari Islands, which is home to three world-class hotel brands, including The Ritz-Carlton. The visitors are expected to have access to the archipelago's communal beating heart, the Fari Marina Village. Fari Marina Village features enchanting boutiques and a hand-picked selection of dining options, all built around a vibrant Beach Club. The renowned Kerry Hill Architects created the spaces to achieve a fine balance of serene and social.
