Hdh. Kulhudhuffushi will face off against R. Dhuvaafaru in the North final on the 6th of March at 20:30. Kulhudhuffushi is the champion of Zone 1 and Dhuvaafaru was crowned the champions od Zone 2 a few days ago.
Kulhudhuffushi won Zone 1 by defeating N. Maafaru in the Zone 1 final in penalties. They reached the Zone 1 final after winning the Hdh Atoll Tournament. Dhuvaafaru won Zone 2 after winning the Zone 2 final against Lh. Naifaru by penalties. They reached the Zone 2 final by defeating B. Atoll champion Eydhafushi.
The North Final match is the first semi-final of the tournament. The winner will be crowned as the King of the North and move on directly to the grand final of the tournament. The team facing against them in the final will be decided after Zone 3 and 4. The team who wins the Tekkers Maldives Cup will be crowned as the Maldives Champion.
Tekkers Maldives Cup is a futsal tournament focused on all the islands in the Maldives. The cup will be played in almost all the atolls in the country. This tournament aims to give a chance for the amazing players within the country to shine in the spotlight.
The champions of the Tekkers Milo Championship Maldives Cup will receive a prize money of MVR 50,000/- while the tournament runner-up will get a prize money of MVR 25,000/-. Along with this, different awards such as best young player, best playmaker, etc, are awarded in each atoll.
