The Commonwealth Games 2022 kicks off in Birmingham, England on 28th of July and will end on 8th August. Maldives National Badminton team built a very talented squad by choosing players from numerous badminton clubs in the country in order to compete in the commonwealth games.
The star players that are already in the National team are Mohamed Ajufan Rasheedh, Nibaal Mohamed, Aminath Nabeeha Abdul Razzag and Fathmath Nabaaha Abdul Razzag. Mohamed Zayaan Shaheedh and Rishwaan Shiyam also joined from Revival sports club, making this team very strong coming into the tournament.
Some of the new clubs that have recently joined the Badminton Assosciation are United Victory (UV),
CS Sports and Revival sports club.
