The women's national teams, Under-18 and Senior, have both flown to India for intensive training sessions in preparation for major international competitions.

For the South Asian Basketball Association Championship, which will be held in the Maldives, the senior squad is preparing. The Under-18 Asian Basketball Tournament, which will be held in India, is being prepared for by the Under-18 Women's Basketball squad.

Up until the end of this month, the National team will be receiving top-notch instruction from Bangalore's Padukone Dravid Centre for Sports Excellence.

The South Asian Basketball Association (SABA) Championship will commence on September 24 while the Under-18 Asian Basketball Tournament will start on September 5.
