Mohamed Rasheed Has Won the Gold Medal in Runatolia International Marathon

Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) promising athlete Mohamed Rasheed has won gold medal in Runatolia International Marathon in Antalya Turkey.
Mohamed Rasheed completed the marathon in 2 hour 37.09 minutes. This is the biggest achievement a Maldivian has got in an international marathon.
Due to the situation of Covid-19, only 50 athletes around the world have been given the opportunity to participate in the marathon. From Maldives, three athletes have participated including Nasrullah Ahmed who has participated in the greatest number of marathons in Maldives, Mohamed Rasheed and Mohamed Mustafa. This was the 68th marathon for Nasru and first ever international marathon for Mustafa.
Mohamed Rasheed won sixth place in South Asian category in Sheikh Mujibur Dhaka Marathon, which was held in Bangladesh last January. In 2019, Mohamed Rasheed won third place in Sundown Marathon in Singapore, which was a 10-kilometer Marathon and he won first place in the 5-kilometer Thailand Phuket International Marathon. Moreover, he has won great achievements in the Dubai marathon and various international marathons.
