The Tekkers Resort Cup is coming back for a second time, and organizers have high hopes for it to be even better than the first event. The Tekkers Resort Cup is set to begin in May 2023 and will feature over 7 atolls (Kaafu, Alif Alif, Alif Dhaal, Dhaal, Baa, Noonu, Raa).
Ozen-Life Maadhoo won the first Tekkers Resort Cup after defeating Milaidhoo Maldives in a competitive final. Mohamed Sirukhan of Ozen-Life Maadhoo earned Best Player and Best Playmaker of the Tournament for his jaw-dropping exploits on the big stages. Simhaadh Ibrahim, a goal machine from the Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands, is the competition's top scorer with 13 goals scored. Jadulla Ahmed of Ozen-Life Maadhoo received the award for the competition's best young player. The competition's best manager was Ozen Life Maadhoo's Ahmed Muruthala. Jadulla Ahmed (Ozen Life Maadhoo), Adam Azim (Conrad Maldives), Hussain Wifaag (Baros Maldives), Unais Zubair (Milaidhoo Maldives), and Ali Naseer (also from Milaidhoo Maldives) are the top 5 players in the competition.
