The Maldivian National Volleyball team dropped the chance to compete in the first phase of the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) Beach Volleyball Confederation Cup on the 8th of this month and instead decided to compete in the Central Asian Volleyball Association (CAVA) Mens' Beach Volleyball Tour. CAVA is set to start on the 13th of September and will end on the 16th. Both tournaments will be held in Bangladesh.
The National team is set to travel this Sunday. The Maldivian National Team consists of Adam Naseem (Adam) and Ismail Saajid (Kuda Kaattey) as well as Ahmed Mohamed (Koke) and Ahmed Mohamed (Denzo).
Last year saw the Adam and Kuda Kaattey having their best finish as they went on to the Commonwealth Games Qualifying Finals under the guidance of the Brazilian Coach, Vinicius Martins. However, they finished first in the Asian Central Zone Beach Volleyball Tournament held in Bangladesh.
