The sub-base construction of HA. Maarandhoo football ground has been contracted to RG International Private limited.

The signing ceremony was held on Monday at Ministry of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment. From the Youth Ministry, State Minister Ashad Ali signed the agreement and from RG International Pvt ltd, Company Director Ahmed Asif signed.

The sub-base construction of Maarandhoo football ground is a project worth of MVR 2,115,365 (two million one lakh fifteen thousand three hundred and sixty-five). The work has been contracted to RG International to complete the sub-base construction in 29 days from the day working starts.

The government of Maldives has developed 8 football grounds in different islands and more than 40 islands football grounds development has been signed to different companies.

While the government is striving to fulfil its goal to support the sports industry, Football Association of Maldives (FAM) is trying to conduct 2023-2024 Dhivehi Premier League to open for the whole Maldives with Home and away rules.
