Even we say Azvan, most Maldivians may not know who he is? Then ask someone who knows him. Everyone who knows Azvan will describe him as the one of the best football players in Kanduhulhudhoo. He is known to all the Huvadhoo Atoll. 

Azvan started playing football at the very young age. He started as a goal keeper first. Back then the first football pitch for him was the backyard of his house or road nearby. First, he stared playing football as it his hobby and just for fun. After that, he played his first tournament, Inter-house junior football tournament. In that tournament he achieved the top scorer and change his position from goal keeper to the striker. Now he is one of the best forwards who that top level futsal players are wary off.

Azvan has many idols in the football, but most admired role model is the Portuguese legend Cristiano Ronaldo. He even wears number 7 shirt in most of the tournaments. From Maldives, he most looks up to Ibrahim Aswadh (Gabey) and Ali Hafix (Happe). He said that, the biggest dream of his football life is to play alongside with Gabey and Happe.

He said that his biggest achievement is to play against top futsal player in Maldives in Libey Futsal Tournament and to Play in Dhivehi Premier League. He has played for Victory in Dhivehi Premier League.

“My goal is to be in the top level in Maldives futsal and play with the best players” said Azvan.

Azvan’s nick name in the football pitch is “Dhagey”, the name after Maldivian Legend Ali Ashfaq (Dhagadey). Azvan mentioned that, just like Dhivehi Premier League, if there is futsal league in Maldives, it would help to create more talented players in futsal and he hopes it will happen in the future.
