Football Association of Maldives has confirmed the re-launch of Third Division football league on Sunday, after 2 years.
FAM had previously tried to conduct this tournament in 1st February. However, due to the increasing number of Covid-19 cases in greater Male’ area, the tournament was postponed. The league was postponed twice during this time frame.
Due to HPA’s new set of guidelines, the teams which are participating in the third division didn't get the chance to conduct their training.
The third division football league will be held in National Football stadium and Maafannu Stadium.
While the tournament is expected to begin on Sunday, the final match will take place in May 12.
Third division football league was last held in 2018 and the champion was Rock Streets Sports Club.
