Former leading player Ali Adam Manik (Thaalhafili Alibe) is back on the game again. He was suspended by the Table Tennis Association of Maldives due to his indiscipline behavior in civil court.
According to sources, Alibe went to the civil court in order to request to extend the deadline of the association election which was to be held on September last year. However, as per the TT association it was believed Alibe displayed act of misconduct that may jeopardize the reputation of TT union. The TT association also felt threaten, Alibe’s delinquency may demotivate the young and new players of Table Tennis in Maldives.
The association decided to release the suspension of Alibe after the submission of a written apology letter for his negligence.
Alibe confirmed that he was informed about his suspension via a text message.
“As the association has banned me from taking part and using the equipments, I ask for forgiveness from TT association” these words were stated by Alibe who has been a table tennis player for 21 years.
Alibe sent his written apology letter to TT association on last December.
General secretary of the association stated that, his apology was accepted and that the exco of association does not have to decide any further.
