Football has always been the most favorite sport in the country, and many millennials have been finding their passion in football since childhood. Jailam, otherwise known as jiaanu is also one of the players who found his passion in football in his childhood.

Jailam also played inter-house and inter-school football tournaments in Ahmadhiyya School in his teenage years. Jailam grew his love for football ever since.

As per the interview he gave to Tekkers, he highlighted his accomplishments in his football journey where he shed light to his victory in Minivan championship which was held in Kaafu Atoll. Jailam expressed his pride for his island when his team won the championship on that year.

He also narrated his dream is to become the best player of his island football team. He also mentioned he wholeheartedly wish immense success and further development opportunities to his 3^rd division team on the island.

Jailam also expressed one of his dream is to get an opportunity to play with the country’s most beloved football player; Ali Ashfaq.

He also spoke about the drawbacks faced during the Covid-19, and of the drawback is that all football tournaments are on hold until further notice. Further to this, he also mentioned other challenges faced in his football journey such as juggling through his job and tournaments played in the Male’ city.

Jailam’s message to all the youth seeking passion in football is that “when you do something with 100% focus and commitment, you can achieve anything in life and to never give up on your dreams”
