Minister Ahmed Mahloof has announced the establishment of outdoor volleyball courts in 25 different island according to the Maldivian.

The following are the island volley courts are to be established:

• Hdh Kumundhoo
• Hdh Neykurendhoo
• Sh Funadhoo
• Sh Milandhoo
• B Kendhoo
• B Goidhooo
• Lh Hinavaru
• K Thulusdhoo
• V Keyodhoo
• V Felidhoo
• V Fulidhoo
• M Dhigarru
• F Magoodhoo
• F Nilandhoo
• Th Madifushi
• Th Hirilandhoo
• L Fonadhoo
• Ga Villingili
• Ga Nilandhoo
• Ga Kolamaafushi
• Ga Dhaandhoo
• Gn Fuvamulah
• S Feydhoo

Minister Mahloof stated that around 25 million MVR is estimated for this project. Which is 1 Million MVR per court. He also stated that the courts will be better in quality than the previously built outdoor volley courts in Maldives.

The government has already built outdoor volley courts in R. Kinolhas and Adh Dhihdhoo. These courts are to be modified with fences and lighting system making it easy to have practices at night.
